(the trading name of Lloyd Design London Limited) 1981 to 2014.
This website is now a historic account of the work of its founder John Lloyd.
John Lloyd undertook an Art Foundation at Kingston School of Art from where he went
to study for the Diploma of Art and Design (Dip AD) in Industrial Design at Manchester
School of Art from 1969 to 1972. The school was incorporated into Manchester Polytechnic
and later Manchester University.
For the first ten years of his career John worked as a product designer for several
companies: Stewart Plastics, the eminent design consultancy Holscher & Tye, Gillette
Industries and then as director of The Saunders Design Company (London).
John was appointed Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers in 1980 and holds
many design awards for his product design, including the prestigious Horner's Award
John founded Lloyd Design in 1982, a multidiscipline design consultancy which was
incorporated in 1984.
Although now retired John offers his experience as mentor to students of design
and start up businesses.
